who I am
My name is Roberto Ruiz Amigo, I was born in Madrid (Spain) the February 8th, 1983, and I’m a Journalist.
Since 2004 to the end of 2009, I have worked as a journalist for the monthly magazine Scootermanía, contributing to Motociclismo and to the entire motorcycle section of the publishing company Motorpress-Ibérica. My work here has provided an interesting way to combine both a passion and a profession, which is also something that I started many years ago on my other blog “Sobre dos ruedas” (“On two Wheels”).
Since 2004, I have tested and compared all the scooter models on the market. My work has consisted of photo sessions, the collection of technical data, writing reports and general magazine organization. In short, I have helped to make a national magazine leader in its sector.
I have worked as a journalist and photographer, covering both national and international events (Spain, Portugal, France, Italy), as well as for the BMW Motorrad Days in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany) and for the Taiwan International Motorcycle Industry Show in Taipei (Taiwan).
I enjoy taking pictures outside of work as well, and I currently own the following photographic equipment: Canon EOS 40 D + Battery Grip BG-E2N, a Sigma Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS and a Canon 50mm f/1.8 II, all of which I gradually hope to enhance.
